The difference with CME is that all its functionality runs on a local ISR, or router. The Algo 8180 IP Audio Alerter is a PoE speaker designed for voice paging, loud ringing, and emergency notifications (meeting OSHA regulatory compliance). The 8180 supports wideband audio (G.722 voice codec) and can be configured for multicast where many speakers are required to cover a large room, building, or campus.
